The Cat Who Understood the System
Everyone in our house loves the cat.
And everyone is responsible enough to feed her.
There is just one small problem:
Nobody knows if someone else already did.
So the cat has developed a remarkably effective process.
Ask one person.
Eat.
Find another person.
Ask again.
Eat again.
Repeat as necessary.
The result is visible in the photo. 😂
For a while, it would have been easy to say:
“She eats too much.”
But the cat isn’t the problem.
Everyone is doing exactly what seems right with the information they have.
The problem wasn’t that nobody fed the cat.
The problem was that everybody did.
Sometimes we don’t need more responsible people.
We just need a system that makes the current condition visible.
