THE UNREPORTED PROBLEM

The lights flickered.

The factory grew colder every night.

Something kept knocking from inside the machine.

Maintenance found nothing.

Eventually, the operators stopped reporting it.

Then the knocking stopped.

But the feeling of being watched never did.

Something was still there.

Hiding in plain sight.

Learning their routines.

Waiting for someone to work alone.
